Soraja Helac has been a leading voice in art consultancy throughout her career in both Europe and the United States. With a professional background in museum administration, artist representation and prominent exposure as a curator, Soraja has a broad understanding of the international art world. Founded in 2010 and located in the vibrant neighborhood of SoHo, Helac Fine Art benefits from the success and experience of Soraja’s career in the global arts community.
Since her appointment as project manager and consultant for Mercedes-Benz corporate headquarters in Stuttgart, Soraja has continued to increase her exposure and influence in the art community with esteemed positions at museums such as the Villa Merkel in Germany and the Neue Gallerie in New York. After receiving Masters Degrees in both Art History (Germany) and Art Business (Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York), she co-founded the art advisory firm Helac & Wirth in New York. Soraja has curated several contemporary art exhibitions including some of the first “pop-up” shows in New York and the 2010 Yale University MFA Photography Thesis Show.
Soraja speaks fluent English, German, French and Serbo-Croatian and travels extensively worldwide building relationships and contacts which allow her to benefit from a comprehensive global outlook. It is this international flexibility that makes Soraja a driving force in the burgeoning global art market. Soraja is also an active member of the Young Collectors Council and Acquisitions Committee at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
